I was born and raised in Columbus Ohio. I spent most of my life in the Westfall School District but moved to Upper Arlington for high school. Soon after graduation, I studied computer programming at Columbus State Community College. I am not sure how much of my past I want to publish on the web, but would be more than willing to sit down over a cup of coffee and reminisce.
My wife and I have been married for 15 years. We met at church camp (Buckeye Lake) as teenagers in the early 90s. We married just after she graduated from high school. We have grown up together, lived, loved, learned.
We have two children. My daughter, oldest, played volleyball, plays trombone in the band, signed up for softball and loves science. My son is an incredible reader, and loves beating me on the XBox, PS2 and Wii.
We are active at the Calvary Apostolic Church where I am part of the youth team help with multimedia, am the "unofficial" church photographer and teach the Junior High Christian education class (Grades 6-8). I have been apart of this church family my entire life.
During the day, I am a mild mannered reporter, (no not really) I am an IT Service Management (ITIL) professional (process geek) that specializes in Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration and Capacity Management. For a local financial institution, I manage an IT organization that owns all the tools and processes for running the business it IT, including change control, software development lifecycle, release tools, etc... Some call me the ITIL evangelist.
When it comes to watching sports, I follow the Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL), the New York Yankees (MLB), the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA), the Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL), The Ohio State University, Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson (NASCAR). Additionally, I love to participate in or play some sports as well. I play slowpitch softball in the spring at Berliner park, golf in the summer with my Taylor made clubs, and officiate high school football in the autumn (OHSAA and COFOA). Additionally, during the summer, I enjoy riding my bicycle with my kids.
A Few of My Favorite Things: the Christmas season, taking photos, collecting music CDs, lightning storms, pizza with mushrooms and onions, collecting Pittsburgh Steelers memorabilia, autumn and winter, Starbucks coffee (komodo dragon) in the morning, video games, computer games (Age of Empires and Diablo), cheese, playing softball, officiating high school football, just to name a few.
